CPD Roadshows

In 2012 we launched our very popular master classes as part of our Annual Vet Conference. These give clinicians the opportunity to gain or improve practical skills such as rabbit dentistry and airway management. We continue to offer these workshops in the
conference but we are also taking them on the road to make them more accessible.  As always, RWAF continues to lead the way and keep rabbit CPD at the forefront of our work which is supported by Burgess Pet Care. As always, RWAF continues to lead the

In addition to the annual conference, we are offering three hour master classes. This is the only rabbit specific CPD to be delivered by recognised Specialists. All delegates will be issued with a certificate to show that they have been assessed and passed the course (hopefully!) and use of the ‘Rabbit Interactive Logo’ to show that they have attended a ‘Rabbit Interactive’ CPD master class. Rabbit Interactive is an established and recognised brand, and the only rabbit CPD to offer all of these benefits:
• RWAF endorsed CPD and certificate
• Practical ‘hands on’ small workshops
• ‘Pass’ for each masterclass and logo which can be used for marketing

RABBIT DENTISTRY ROADSHOW (Vets only)
Reading before the course
Selected chapters from Manual of rabbit surgery, imagery and dentistry.
Course Content
Management of incisor malocclusion including shortening and extraction.
Management of cheek tooth disease including shortening, extraction and apiectomy.
Odontogenic abscess management.
Course Outcomes
By the end of the course, you will be confident in performing a range of dental procedures on rabbits.
Delegates will be assessed and given a pass or fail.
Any delegates that fail will be able to re-take this course again.
Delegates who pass will be given a certificate to display in their practice.
Reflective Learning
You should be able to reflect on how appropriate different dental techniques are to different scenarios.

RABBIT AIRWAY MANAGEMENT ROADSHOW (Vets and Vet Nurses)
Reading before the course
Selected chapters from Manual of Rabbit Surgery, imagery and dentistry.
Course Content
Pre-anaesthetic assessment and stabilisation.
Anaesthetic induction.
Anaesthetic maintenance and monitoring.
Fluid therapy.
Analgesia.
Course Outcomes
By the end of the course, you will be confident in anaesthetising rabbits.
Delegates will be assessed and given a pass or fail.
Any delegates that fail will be able to re-take this course again.
Delegates who pass will be given a certificate to display in their practice.
Reflective Learning
You should be able to reflect on how appropriate different anaesthetic protocols are to different scenarios.
